Vitor Lobo, Son of Grace Brethren Pastor Ray and Nelsa in Belem, Brazil recently found more tumors in his rib, sternum and lung. He has undergone several surgeries for tumors in the last few years, including an amputation of his forearm last January. This meant the loss of his ability to play guitar in the praise and worship band at church and with his own band. Although the tumors have spread they are not considered cancerous, but can be aggressive and sometimes fatal. They are an uncommon type named big cell tumors.

Vitor and his father Ray have traveled over 1500 miles to Sao Paulo for treatment. He is awaiting more test results before they will schedule surgery. Radiation is not often used with this type of tumor since it can cause it to become cancerous.

A prayer was answered for the family last week when the state of Para here in Brazil agreed to help cover some of the medical costs.

Please be in prayer for Vitor and his family as they face the days ahead. Pray also for Vitor's fiancee. They are to be married in March.
